Founded by the National Federation of Womens Institutes (NFWI) in 1948, Denman offers a wealth of opportunities to learn new skills on day schools and short courses. The Denman range includes something for every interest historical visits, reflexology, aromatherapy, computer skills, flower arranging, Nordic walking, Tai Chi, photography and digital imaging, fashion and a whole array of music and singing courses. Lifestyle courses at Denman are developed to cater for the mind, body and soul. There is also a range of courses for families to attend, carving, calligraphy, to stained glass, silver jewellery and willow work, watercolours, flower arranging, so even the smallest members of the family can get hands on! The WI Craft School brings together experts in their field to offer a wide variety of art and craft courses ranging from patchwork, textiles and sugarcraft the choice is endless and caters for all abilities and interests. The school caters for all levels of ability with courses for the novice cook to the accomplished chef all with local and seasonal produce in mind. The WI Cookery School welcomes anyone with a passion for cooking to come and extend their range of skills and experience. The suite of rooms that make up The Studios provide comprehensive facilities for courses. Set in the picturesque village of Marcham, near Oxford, the Georgian mansion and 17 acres of grounds provide a relaxing environment for learning.
